  As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. If that's true, you'll always be in good health when you shop at Showalter's Orchard and Greenhouse. Showalter's signature apple cider has become an annual tradition, which prompted the opening of the Old Hill Cidery Tasting Room.   Arguably the most popular disc golf course in the Harrisonburg area, the course at Westover Park has undergone a series of great renovations and improvements since it opened in 2003. It's a lot of fun to play, with 21 holes that include some tight shots and tricky terrain. It's mostly wooded, with two baskets at each hole for longer or shorter throws. Westover Park is located just minutes from these Harrisonburg homes for sale and is also popular for its swimming pool and skate park.

• Swover Creek Farms - 4176 Swover Creek Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824
  Swover Creek Farms is many things. It really is an operating farm, offering you-pick blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries in season. But it's also a craft brewery and wood-fired pizza restaurant, and part of its rolling farmland has been converted into an 18-hole disc golf course. Course maps are available at the bar, and you'll probably want to stop back in for a pint after the game is over. 
  
  
• Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park- 625 6th St, Luray, VA 22835
  Offering a scenic but challenging 9-hole disc golf course, Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park is a popular park in the community of Luray. The course is mostly flat, open, and spacious, with great views of the Shenandoah Valley. Its challenges come not so much from tricky shots but from sheer distance. A short drive from many Luray homes for sale, the park also has picnic areas, a children's playground—one of those great old wooden ones—and baseball and softball fields.
