Getting There
Valleyfest Beer & Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. It's held on the slopes of the Massanutten Resort and is expected to draw a crowd of over 4,000 people.
Ticket prices are $25 each. Tickets for your designated driver and visitors under 21 are only $10, and children under 10 get in for free. All proceeds from the event benefit the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce.

Every year around the close of summer, the people of Hardy County come together to celebrate Heritage Weekend, one of the biggest local events of the year. Hardy County Heritage Weekend is a celebration of everything that makes local communities such special places to call home. During Heritage Weekend, you'll have the opportunity to learn about local history, shop for products from local businesses and artisans, catch a classic movie, watch live shows, enjoy live music, and even participate in an "all schools" reunion for former students of local schools. Interested in shopping from local vendors and residents? During Heritage Weekend, you'll have the chance to shop the community yard sale at the HL Wilson Yard Sale Site, with tons of unique items being sold by residents. After you're done at the yard sale, stop by the Moorefield High School gym to shop for crafts from local artisans, and enjoy live crafting demonstrations. There will also be an antique auction on Saturday at 5 pm, where you'll have the chance to bid on truly unique treasures.
History is a huge part of the Hardy County Heritage Weekend, and there are great opportunities to learn about local history throughout the events. Participate in a historical walking tour that doubles as a chance to scout Hardy County homes, or take in a live demonstration from the Federal Generals Corps living Civil War history group. The weekend features tours of historic homes and buildings, lectures on local history, and even an antique farm equipment exhibit to explore.
Throughout Heritage Weekend, you'll have the chance to take in live demonstrations from experts on an eclectic array of topics relevant to the past and future of Hardy County. There will be talks on the history of local towns and buildings, a look at the history of local churches, seminars on music in local schools, a muzzleloading demonstration, and walking tours of Hardy County communities.
Look for live performances throughout the weekend, including many performances with free admission. You can check out the Blue Hill Bluegrass Band and the Fly Birds in separate shows on Saturday, or head to Mattias Community Center for crafts, food, and music throughout the final day of Heritage Weekend on Sunday.
Kids will love spending time at Hardy County Heritage Weekend too, thanks to many activities geared toward younger residents. The Amazing Animals photo and history exhibit is always a hit, with photos and memorabilia from a wide range of animals. Movie Night on Friday features the classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and there will be a pancake breakfast to kick off the day's events on Saturday morning. The Heritage Weekend Pie Contest is always a hit with kids (and adults!), and the WV History Alive show is an excellent opportunity for kids to learn about local history in a fun, engaging setting.
