6 of the Coolest Concerts in the 'Burg in August

Harrisonburg Concerts August 2019
There are plenty of Harrisonburg homes for sale to choose from, but any of them will put you right in the middle of fun and excitement. One of the best things about beautiful Harrisonburg is its energetic live music scene. Lots of memorable acts originated right here, so there's always a show going on.

Summer is concert season, and the action is in full swing in August.

Our real estate agents are looking forward to these cool August concerts:

  1. Late Bloomer – 181 North Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802
Headlining a night of music on August 13 is Late Bloomer, a North Carolina trio with a unique take on hook-driven guitar rock, punk, and indie. Fresh from their successful third full-length album, they have never sounded more dynamic or compelling than they do now. They'll be joined by indie rock duo Bloom, whose May 2019 EP soared to 100,000 views in just two weeks.
  2. Bruce Allen – 1230 Old Furnace Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802
Visiting the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Friday, August 16, Bruce Allen will bring his brand of county music to the Harrisonburg stage. Soloist Allen is a veteran of the Nashville music scene known for his versatility, soulful performances, and compelling lyrics. It's all brought to you by one of the most prominent nonprofits from right here in the 'Burg.
  3. Unspoken Tradition – 153 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Bluegrass band Unspoken Tradition celebrates the culture of North Carolina in its music, looking forward to the future while honoring the state's rich past. Now on tour, the five-person band will hit the stage on August 7. Expect to hear their chart-topping radio singles as well as some new takes on their nostalgic, yet sincere sound. You won't want to miss it!
  4. The Seldom Scene – 41 F Court Square, Harrisonburg, VA, 22801
The Seldom Scene is one of the longest-running and most popular bluegrass bands playing in the Harrisonburg area. Founded in 1971 in Bethesda, Maryland, the Seldom Scene is a leading name in progressive bluegrass. Its five members create shows with bluegrass versions of hot hits from genres like country, rock, and even pop. They'll be in Harrisonburg on Friday, August 16.
  5. Queen of Jeans – 122 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Queen of Jeans headlines on August 7 in Harrisonburg, part of a night of music featuring fresh new sounds from young bands. Bringing their experimental alternative sound to Harrisonburg, these musical pioneers – who got started in the business with a debut album in 2016 – have a style that blends subversive elements with angelic female-led harmonies.
  6. Rockingham County Fair 2019 – 4808 South Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
